William Barber (author of Keystone's last Book Study selection) had an article in The Guardian, entitled, ”The Republican tax bill is not just immoral. It's an act of violence.” The article calls on the poor and people of conscience to stand up and demand to be heard. The following Monday, Rev. Barber launched "The Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival." Keystone is active with the campaign, and if you would like to get involved, speak with Connie, Hunter or Amber, or visit https://poorpeoplescampaign.org/     Interfaith Economic Justice Coalition monthly meetings - 'love of neighbor'   Opportunity to witness for justice:  Interfaith Economic Justice Coalition monthly meetings are the third Thursday of each month; join Pastor Lauren, other Justice Leadership Program Interns, and Keystone folks at Puget Sound Sage: Date: Thursday January 18, 2018 Time: 10:00am We join faith communities in South King County with a history of social justice to play a distinct role in lifting a moral voice, as we embody our 'love of neighbor' in support of: Clean & Safe Ports Airport Workers Justice Seatac Employment Standards Our current push is alongside concession workers & airline caterers at Seatac Airport, and security workers at Amazon.  Keystone offers a support role, behind these courageous workers, primarily women, immigrants and refugees, and people of color.
